Root to Bloom Books is a parent-educator-owned publishing company dedicated to creating stories that support children’s growth—emotionally, socially, and imaginatively. We offer picture books that highlight emotional regulation, executive function, and playful adventure, along with creative add-ons like color-your-own pajama sets!

Our books are written for children ages 3 to 8, though older kids and even grown-ups have been known to enjoy the meaningful messages and beautiful illustrations too!

All books are written by Marlo Neuhaus-Franks, a mom and long-time educator with a passion for helping children feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

We combine fun storytelling with tools that help kids grow. Each book offers: • Simple emotional regulation strategies • Tools to support executive functioning • A parent/educator note to help adults extend the learning • Optional coordinating items, like pajamas, for cozy bedtime connections

We offer “Color Your Own Pajamas” kits that pair with our books! Kids can color the designs themselves using fabric markers (included), turning storytime into a hands-on, creative adventure they can wear.

Our pajama sets are made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex for softness and stretch—perfect for bedtime snuggles! For best results: • Use fabric markers only (included in the kit or available at most craft stores). • Place a piece of paper or cardboard under the drawing area to prevent bleed-through. • Let the colors set for 24 hours before washing. • During the first wash, colors may bleed—wash separately in cold water. • Tumble dry low or hang to dry to keep colors looking bright! Let your child’s creativity bloom—and last!

Yes! We’re happy to help with size exchanges if your pajamas aren’t the perfect fit. Here’s the scoop: • Pajamas must be unworn, unwashed, and not colored on to be eligible for exchange. • If you need a different size, just send us a quick message through our Contact page and we’ll guide you through the process. • We want your little one to be comfy and proud of their one-of-a-kind creation—so we’ll do our best to make it right!
